CHIP SEALING

  2008 Chip Seal Brochure

Starting in May, Clark County Public Works will begin annual road surface treatment work in your neighborhood. This chip seal treatment is applied to roads to help seal the surface and prevent moisture from damaging the road. Each area will take one to three days to complete.

Our chip seal program is typically complete between mid-August and late September, weather permitting.

Road crews will post loose gravel and fresh oil signs in your neighborhood. We appreciate drivers reducing speed through these work zones. We will not close any roads but there may be some temporary delays to vehicle drivers. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Approximately 100 residents already scheduled for chip seal this summer.  In these  areas, grinding will be done prior to the chip seal process:

NW 169th St from NW 41st Av to NW 61st Av
NW 61st Av from NW 169th St to NW 179th St
NW 51st Av from NW 179th St to NW 169th St
