Equipment Services is a section of the Public Works Operations Division and is responsible for management and maintenance of the county's fleet of vehicles and equipment. Items included in the fleet range from Sheriff's Office patrol vehicles to heavy road maintenance equipment such as pavers, graders, backhoes,and dump trucks. A variety of hand tools and communication equipment are included as well. 
This department purchases new equipment as directed by departments. Maintenance and capital replacements are funded through equipment rental rates charged to user departments. In addition, Equipment Services provides equipment and vehicle repair to numerous other public agencies within this area.
