Traffic Detour Notification from St Johns Road to Highway 99
Overlay Schedule for the week of July 28
Road Operations provides full service maintenance activities for 2,446 lane miles and 74 bridges. Five (5) satellite stations are geographically located throughout the County for improved response to emergency and daily work plan requirements
Maintenance activities are funded under the following program areas:
- Roadway/Shoulder Maintenance (includes pothole patching, crack filling, chip sealing, slurry seals, base stabilization, rocking shoulders, grading gravel roads, dust abatement)
- Drainage (includes catch basin cleaning, manhole and drywell maintenance, culvert cleaning and replacement, ditching, installation of storm systems)
- Bridge Maintenance (includes painting, flushing/cleaning, scouring control)
- Deputy Program (includes truck safety inspections, weight control, misc. traffic control activities)
- Utility Inspection (includes permit review and requirement development, inspection for compliance)
- Incidental Traffic and Safety Services (includes snow and ice control, street sweeping, litter control, pavement markings, striping, sign installation/maintenance)
- Roadside Vegetation/Median Maintenance/Swales and Ponds (includes roadside mowing, brush cutting, median maintenance, swale and pond maintenance)
- CRP (overlays, walkway construction, fish passage projects, traffic calming device construction)

Technical Services

- Responsible for County's pavement management program which directs our work effort at preserving our roadway network.

- When is my driveway inspection planned
- Definitions of the different types of road surface treatments
Landscape Maintenance

- Responsible for all maintenance of medians and other landscaped areas within County right-of-way.
MPD -Public and Private Vegetation Maintenance

Responsible for:
- Maintenance and enhancements of all medians within the unincorporated areas of Clark County
- Responds to sight distance issues
- Removal of vegetation on overlay and slurry projects.
Specialty Services

- Responsible for traffic control and bridge maintenance.
Responds to questions regarding:
- When is my road going to be striped
- When will the buttons be replaced on a certain road
- When will the signal that has a burned out lamp be replaced
- When will our bridge get repainted
Bridge limitations (includes load, height and closures)
Rural

- Responsible for general maintenance response to north County (geographically encompasses County right-of-way (ROW) north of 199th Street west of SR-503, ROW north of 159th Street between SR-503 and 172nd Avenue, and ROW north and south of 99th Street east of 172nd Ave)
- This area also includes the Camas and Washougal areas.
Responds to questions regarding:
- When we'll be plowing or sanding a road during inclement weather
- When is a pothole going to be repaired
- Status on elimination of a sight distance problem
- When is our road going to be dust oiled or graded
- When will the shoulder be repaired
NPDES/Asphalt and Special Projects

- Responsible for NPDES activities (street sweeping, catch basin cleaning, swale/pond maintenance)
- Special project works (Cold mix overlays, other day labor projects)

Urban

- Responsible for general maintenance
- Small capital projects (response to south County (geographically encompasses County right-of-way south of 199th Street west of SR-503, ROW south of 159th Street between SR-503 and 172nd Avenue, and ROW south of 99th Street east of 172nd Avenue)

- When we'll be fixing a pothole
- How soon we'll be picking up litter
- When will we be plowing or sanding a street
- When will the repair on a shoulder be completed
- How soon will a sight distance problem be remedied
- Special project status
Utility Inspection

This section is responsible for utility permits and can answer questions regarding status of utility installations, permit requirements for each installation.
Responds to questions regarding:
- Why has all this paint been placed on the ground/road in front of my house?
- Questions pertaining to construction activity (Utility construction) in the County Right-of-way?
