Clark County has Flood Insurance Rate Maps. You can use Maps Online to examine the county's depiction of floodplain boundaries.
Find your Flood Insurance Rate Map Zone
- Go to Maps Online.
- Click on "Find Parcel."
- Type in either your street address or your tax account.
- Hit "Go!"
- Select your address from the list.
- Click on "Property Information Center."
- Click on the "Environmental" tab.
- Information can be found under the "Wetlands and Soils Type" header.
Find your flood map
- Go to Maps Online.
- Search for your parcel by parcel number or property address.
- Click on “Property Information Center” underneath Query Results.
- Click on “Environmental” directly under the property address at the top of the page.
- On the left is the title “Soils, Wetlands and Natural Resources.” Within this category you will see the following headings:
Floodplains. Based on the current flood maps, this category lists the type of flood hazards on your property such as floodway and floodway fringe.
Proposed Floodplains. Based on the recently proposed flood maps, this category lists proposed flood hazards on your property such as floodway and floodway fringe.

Public Works staff can assist you with the following:
- Determining if a property is within a FEMA mapped Special Flood Hazard Area
- Flood insurance rating information such as Flood Insurance Rate Map zone, panel number, suffix, panel date, index date and regulatory base flood elevation
- FEMA elevation certificates, if available.
- Regulatory provisions that may apply to your property.
- Determining if a property has ever suffered flood damage, if available.

Please note that any information provided by Clark County is for informational purposes only and is not considered to be a formal determination for the purpose of requiring flood insurance. That responsibility lies with the lender.
