Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from Clark County residents wanting to serve on the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission.
Applicants should be prepared to complete terms of three years, beginning in January. The commission meets 1-3 p.m. on the third Friday of each month.
The 13-member commission serves as an advisory group to the city council and county commissioners on matters relating to: planning, acquisition, development and operation of neighborhood, community and regional parks; greenways, open space and trails; recreation programs, cultural programs and other activities.
Commission members may be called on to host public meetings and request public input on such things as plans, new programs and budget preparation.
Anyone interested in serving should submit a letter of interest and resume to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver 98666-5000. Deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
