Parks Advisory Board

The seven-member Parks Advisory Board makes recommendations to the Board of County Councilors on issues such as:

  • Selection of design consultants, park designs and park locations.
  • Policies and standards for the Clark County Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space plan.
  • Park acquisition, development and improvement, as well as rules for park use.
  • The county's biennial parks budget.
  • Specialized studies regarding parks, trails and open space.

On July 29, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved changes to Clark County Code regarding the Parks Advisory Board.

The Parks Advisory Board meets 1-3:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month. The board also may hold work sessions from noon to 2 p.m. the fourth Friday of the month.
