American Flag

The United States Code of Federal Regulations Title 4 Chapter 1, also known as Flag Etiquette, is a bill that was introduced to Congress and signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1942. Title 4, Chapter 1 pertains to the flag; The United States Flag Code states: "The Flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning".

You may take your worn or damaged American Flag to one of the organizations listed below; they will see that the Flag is properly disposed of at no charge.
