Ammunition

The primary danger associated with ammunition (bullets and shotgun shells) is accidental discharge. Accidental discharges can result from pounding on a bullet or throwing it into a fire. Keep ammunition away from children. Store it in a secure, cool, dry place away from heat or flames. Ammunition is extremely dangerous if not disposed of properly. If you find one or more of these items please call 9-1-1 to report the incident. 9-1-1 staff will ensure the appropriate law enforcement agency contacts you to determine how best to handle the situation. DO NOT transport any ammunition to law enforcement agencies or any other site unless instructed to do so.
