Paradichlorobenzene
Paradichlorobenzene is a volatile white crystalline solid with a wet solid surface and a penetrating Mothball odor. Paradichlorobenzene is commonly found in Mothballs, Moth Flakes, Toilet Bowl Deodorizers and Diaper Pail Deodorizers.
Inhalation of Paradichlorobenzene vapors may result in headaches, swollen eyes, a stuffy head, anorexia (loss of appetite), nausea, vomiting, and throat and eye irritation. Symptoms from ingestion include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, liver and kidney damage, and a reduction in the oxygen-carrying capacity of red blood cells.
Products containing Paradichlorobenzene should be disposed of as a hazardous waste should be disposed of as a hazardous waste.
