Satellite Collection Events - Household Hazardous Waste

Clark County, the cities of Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal and the town of Yacolt are hosting Recycling Day Events in 2015. The events will give Clark County residents the opportunity to manage a variety of special wastes through reuse, recycling or safe disposal.

  • April 11, 2015 - *Yacolt Primary School, 406 W Yacolt Rd. - 9am-2pm
    • No Shredding at this location.
  • April 18, 2015 - Camas, Camas Public Works Operations, 1620 SE 8th St. - 9am-1pm
  • April 25, 2015 - Ridgefield, 5901 S. 11th St. - 9am-1pm
    • No Shredding at this location.
  • May 2, 2015, La Center, Holley Park, 1000 E. 4th St. - 9am-1pm
  • May 16, 2015 - Washougal, Transfer Station, 4020 S. Grant St. - 9am-1pm
  • May 30, 2015 - Hazel Dell, *Columbia River High School, 800 NW 99th St. - 9am-1pm
  • Sept. 12, 2015 - Central Vancouver, Clark College, Yellow Lot 1, 1900 Fort Vancouver Way - 9am-1pm
  • Sept. 19, 2015 - East Vancouver, C-Tran Fisher's Landing Transit Center, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave. - 9am-1pm
  • Oct. 3, 2015 - *Battle Ground High School, 300 W. Main St., Turn north at N. Parkway Ave. and enter off N.W. 3rd Way - 9am-1pm

Household Hazardous Wastes

Accepts: Aerosol spray cans, antifreeze, ballasts (from fluorescent lamps), batteries (vehicle, lead acid), batteries, household (AA, AAA, C, D, lithium, mercury, ni-cad), brake fluid, fluorescent tube/compact fluorescent bulb, fuel filters, fungicides, gasoline, grease, herbicides, household cleaners, insecticides, medications (no controlled substances), mercury thermometers, mercury thermostats, motor oil, oil filters, paint (latex and oil base paint, and paint-related products), paint thinner, pesticides, photography chemicals, propane-bottle (cylinder and tank), rodenticides, solvents, transmission fluid, windshield wiper solution, x-ray film and other household hazardous wastes.

Does Not Accept: Leaking containers; asbestos; explosives or ammunition; radioactive material; infectious waste; or business-generated waste.

Other Accepted Materials:

Scrap metal, Freon appliances such as freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, block foam, electronics, televisions, computer monitors. Residents can bring up to five tires without rims. Select locations will have shredding truck on site.
