Recycle A to Z

Each year Americans generate millions of tons of waste in the form of packaging, furniture, grass clippings, yard trimmings, glass, plastic, metal, paper products, clothing, and much, much more. We have been throwing things “away” for years; but now, many of us realize that there is no such place as “away”. Since our trash problems won’t go away, we each have to take some responsibility for our own waste. The best way to do that is to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and EducateRecycling A–Z is your guide for the local reuse, recycling, and safe disposal options for hundreds of products and household items.

Help a neighbor and the environment too:
Combine loads when you go

Heading to the transfer station with recycling or household hazardous waste? Good job!  That is a great way to help the environment; but it could even be better if you saved someone else a trip. Check with your neighbors (especially those who may be elderly or have a disability) to see if they also have some recycling or household hazardous waste that you could take. For information about recycling at the County’s transfer stations visit Transfer Station Recycling and for information about FREE household hazardous waste disposal visit Household Hazardous Waste.
