The Recycled Arts Festival offers fun for the whole family. Come visit the Kids Corner and put your creative minds to work. Kids can make cool take-home projects made from recycled materials, enter a poster contest, and enjoy fun special guests. The Kids Corner is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 28 and 29.

Poster contest
“Reduce, reuse, recycle” is the theme of the 2008 Solid Waste poster contest. Create a poster that helps raise awareness in the community about the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling things before dumping them in landfills. Five winning posters will be featured on a C-Tran bus for one month. Contest rules and entry information. (PDF)

Mudeye Puppet Company
The Mudeye puppets encourage creativity with reused materials and education about waste reduction. Workshops provide a dynamic opportunity to reduce waste and share artistic talents.

Eartha will brighten your day with a pet parrot on her shoulder while showing her love for the earth and the environment. Come see her great bird tricks and get your face painted.
