| On 04/15/1998 Sanford was convicted in Clark County Superior Court for Communicating with a minor for Immoral Purposes and 2 counts of Luring with Sexual Motivation.
According to the Vancouver Police report for the listed charges, on 10-22-97, Sanford contacted a group of minors, between the ages of 8-11, on the playground at Harney School. He pushed an 8 year old male on a swing. The 8 year old reported that he become uncomfortable because Sanford pushed him on his buttocks and pushed him high on the swing. According to the report, Sanford offered the victims money for oral sex but they refused. The victims fled Sanford and he contacted them later in a sparsely wooded area on the playground. He invited them and tried to convince the victims to come with him to his house to `play house`. By his comments, tone and delivery, the victims believed that his motivation for the invitation was of a sexual nature.
He is registered in Clark County as homeless. He will be monitored by the Department of Corrections, the Vancouver Police Sex Offender Tracking Unit, and the Clark County Sheriff`s Office Sex Offender Registration Unit. |
