Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays or county closures)

Process Service

  • Various court processes may be served by the Sheriff’s Office
  • A deposit is required along with service papers

        Payment options:

o     Cash

o     Business check payable to Clark County Sheriff

o     Cashier’s check payable to Clark County Sheriff

o     Credit/debit - subject to a convenience fee

        Note any special service requirements in your cover letter

        Provide a daytime contact phone number in case there are problems

        Delays may be 4 weeks or longer for initial service attempts after receipt

o     Call the unit for current backlog status

        Returns are forwarded to the party requesting service

        A self addressed stamped envelope and cover letter is required with documents


Writs of Restitution

    Specific documents are required upon presentation of a writ to the Sheriff:

o     4 duplicate original Writs of Restitution

o     Completed Tenant Information Sheet - click here

o     Completed Request for Storage of Personal Property

o     Sheriff’s Indemnity Bond in certain circumstances

  • Deposits are required. Call the unit for information.

Property Executions / Replevins / Attachments - Requirements

        Paperwork requirements vary depending on the type of action

        Cases require a deposit on fees

        Any Attachments must be cleared through the Prosecutor’s Office prior to enforcement
