Financial Services

The Finance Department of the Treasurer's Office manages the cash and cash equivalent assets of the County. These include: bank accounts, investments, debt, and trust accounts. The Treasurer's Office manages these funds for the County, school districts, fire districts, port districts, cemetery districts, library districts and various government agencies.

Key Services:
Managing the investment of the County's Portfolio of over $505.3 million dollars (as of December 31, 2013)

  • Managing Debt of over $694.7 million dollars (as of December 31, 2013)
  • Providing cash reporting for over 400 funds
  • Providing appropriate liquidity for all funds.


The Treasurer's Office facilitates sound financial solutions for Clark County and its local government jurisdictions. We serve our governmental jurisdictions and the public by constantly maximizing revenues, disseminating timely, accurate information, and safeguarding the accuracy of public transactions and the assets of the County.

The Treasurer's Office Finance Department enables Clark County and its local governmental jurisdictions to improve their financial position.

The Finance department provides management of the following key areas:

  • County's Investment Portfolio
  • Debt Services/Fiscal Agent Activities
  • Analysis and Reports for the Cash and Cash Equivalent Assets of the County
  • Cash Management and Banking Services
  • Interim Debt Financing
  • Services related to Bond Issuance
  • Accounting of County Receivables
  • Preparation of the Revenue Forecast for the County with the Auditor's Office and the Office of Budget
  • Accounting of all Cash Disbursements
