Two drive-up ballot boxes make voting easier in Clark County

Vancouver, WA ̶ Turning in a voted ballot soon will be more convenient thanks to bright-red drive-up ballot drop boxes permanently installed in prominent locations in east and north Clark County. One box is just inside the north entrance to the Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave. The second is in the parking lot on the west side of Battle Ground City Hall, 109 S.W. 1st St. Both are easy to spot, convenient for drivers and available around the clock starting July 17, in time for the primary election that ends Aug. 4. The new drop boxes are in addition to one installed several years ago on West 14th Street near the Clark County Elections Department, 1408 Franklin St. “We have expanded this service to give voters more choices in how and when to return their ballots,” said Auditor Greg Kimsey. Primary ballots will be mailed July 17. Voters can put completed ballots in a drop box any time after that until balloting ends on Aug. 4. Elections staff will remove ballots frequently to prevent vandalism and secure each box at 8 p.m. Aug. 4. They will still accept ballots from those already in line at that time.
