Applications being sought for 2017 Historical Promotion Grants

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Councilors is accepting applications from local organizations for grants that encourage historic preservation and programs, including preservation of historic documents.

Applications for 2017 Historical Promotion Grants must be received by the Historic Preservation Commission by late September.

The commission will review applications in the fall and submit recommendations to the Board of County Councilors in November. Grants will be awarded in December and available in January 2017.

The Historic Preservation Commission raises awareness of local historical and cultural resources and serves as the county’s primary resource on historic preservation.

Applications must include an original signature; electronic copies will not be accepted.

Deadline for submitting completed applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.

Applications may be delivered to Community Planning on the third floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. or mailed to Clark County Community Planning, P.O. Box 9810, Vancouver, WA 98666-9810, Attn: Jacqui Kamp.
