Chumasero-Smith House

Body

Alberta and Mary Estelle Chumasero-Smith House, despite having been moved from its original downtown site, retains an extremely high level of its original integrity. Constructed in 1903, the house features many details associated with the Arts and Crafts Movement, and is a great example of the American Four-Square form.

The Chumaseros were prominent in early Vancouver history. They operated drug and hardware stores, an electric station, and also engaged in real estate undertakings.
