Clark County's 20-year Comprehensive Growth Management plan serves as a complete policy document that guides county decisions and services on a wide range of topics that include: land use, transportation, parks, housing, capital facilities, and more.

With the 2016 update, staff has been reviewing the comprehensive plan document in an effort to be more concise and user friendly. New goals, policies and strategies are proposed to be added to certain elements of the Comprehensive Plan document.

Planning Commission Review

2016

In March, the Planning Commission began reviewing complete comprehensive plan draft chapters with proposed updates/changes. Below are links to the chapters that Planning Commission has or is reviewing. This information can also be found on the Planning Commission's meetings webpage.

2014

At the Planning Commission's February 20, March 6, March 20 and April 3, 2014 work sessions, proposed changes to several of the chapters were reviewed. Below are links to the chapters that staff have reviewed with the Planning Commission and the proposed changes.

Other chapters yet to be reviewed include: Schools, Shoreline and Parks. The Comprehensive Parks plan was recently adopted by the BOCC. That plan when approved will be incorporated into the 2016 Comprehensive Growth Management Plan.
