Manufactured housing and mobile home code update
About the code update
The county is proposing to update the manufactured housing and mobile home development code language. The code will apply anywhere manufactured housing or mobile homes are allowed, which are located primarily in residential zones.
The updates to these housing codes were initially discussed as part of the 2017 Housing Initiative project.
At the Oct. 18, 2017, housing initiatives council work session, the council decided to process the manufactured housing and mobile home code changes separately due to the complexity of the project. The work is to be completed in 2018.
The manufactured housing code update will modify over twenty Clark County Code Title 40 sections.
The Planning Commission unanimously approved the proposed changes to the manufactured housing code at their August 16th hearing and the County Council unanimously approved the changes at their September 18th hearing.
The Council approved the adopting ordinance for the changes on October 9, 2018 and the code changes will take effect on November 9, 2018.
