Clark County is considering an amendment to the comprehensive plan designation and zoning map to expand the surface mining overlay on parcel number 230301000 and on a portion of parcel number 230061000 adjacent to the Yacolt Mountain Quarry.
Next steps
Public testimony about this proposal can be submitted at the hearing. The Planning Commission will take this feedback into consideration before making their recommendation to the Clark County Council. Oral testimony is limited to three minutes per citizen.
On August 2, 2018, Planning Commission voted to submit a recommendation of denial to the Clark County Council. The council hearing will be held in late fall/early winter. Date will be posted as soon as it is available.
