Councilors seek volunteer for developmental disabilities board

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Councilors is seeking a person associated with higher education or business to serve on the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board. A person familiar with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.

The three-year term begins immediately.

The advisory board includes members of public, private or volunteer agencies, representatives of local jurisdictions, citizens knowledgeable about services to persons with developmental disabilities and someone who receives services for developmental disabilities.

The board makes recommendations to the county council about developmental disabilities issues and services. Members provide leadership to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of community programs.

The advisory board meets at 5:15 p.m. the first Wednesday of every other month at the Center for Community Health, conference room C210, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.
