Special 3-day Candidate Filing

Qualified voters that are interested in becoming a candidate and live within either the jurisdiction of Washougal School District, Director District 1 or Town of  Yacolt, Council Position 2, may file for office during a special 3-day candidate filing period.

Starting at 8 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 7 through 5 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 9, you may come to our office at 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver and file a Declaration of Candidacy form, or you may email your form to elections@clark.wa.gov by the deadline of 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 9.

Candidate statements for the November voters' pamphlet are due and must be received in our office no later than Wednesday, Aug. 14.          

Candidate statements consist of 100 words for the biographical experience and 200 words for the statement.  Candidates may also submit a photo. Biographical experience provided by candidates must be relevant to the headings. For complete information regarding candidate statements, view our 2019 Candidate Manual.
