County seeks volunteer for key appointment on Health Council

Vancouver, WA – The Board of Health is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Clark County Public Health Advisory Council with a representative from a local social or human services agency.

The council advises the county councilors in their capacity as the Board of Health. The council identifies needs and makes recommendations to enhance health of the community.  Access to care, health inequalities, obesity, a sustainable food system and support for healthy children are among the council’s current priorities.

The council meets 6-8 p.m. on the third Tuesday each month at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.

Anyone interested should submit a letter and resumé to Jennifer Clark, County Councilors Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, 98666-5000. Applications also can be faxed to (360) 397-6058 or sent by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.

Application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016.
