Vancouver, Wash. – At a public meeting on March 24, the Clark County Council voted unanimously to close all playgrounds in Clark County parks effective immediately. The decision was made based on the Governor’s Executive order and is supported by Clark County Public Health.

Parks Grounds and Maintenance staff will begin posting closure signs at all Clark County Parks today. Some public restrooms will remain open, but park users should be prepared to not have access to a restroom or hand-washing facilities.

Three more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in Clark County. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Clark County is 16, including four deaths.

One new case is a woman in her 40s. She is recovering at home.

The second new case is a woman in her 40s. She is recovering at home.

The third new case is a man in his 40s. He is currently hospitalized.

Public Health is still investigating whether these individuals had any known contact with confirmed cases.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Superior Court on Monday, March 23 issued General Order 20-11 Emergency Civil Protection Order Rule modifying its operations to increase the safety of court participants and staff. In its continued response to increase safety, the Superior Court Presiding Judge, Scott A. Collier, issued the following modification to Civil Protection Orders process.

One case is a man in his 50s. He had close contact with a confirmed case in Clark County and was quarantined. He is recovering at home.

The second new case is a man in his 80s. He was hospitalized and tested for COVID-19 last week. He died March 19. 

Another person has tested positive for novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in Clark County. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Clark County is now 10.

The case is a man in his 70s. He had contact with a confirmed case in Clark County and was quarantined. He is recovering at home.

The public hearing scheduled for 6 pm Tuesday, March 24 will be held in the sixth-floor training room in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. Council members will be present for the hearing.
