Green Neighbors Natural Garden Tour to feature 10 sustainable gardens

Vancouver, WA – Clark County residents will get an insider’s look at 10 natural gardens that showcase earth-friendly gardening techniques during the Green Neighbors Natural Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 17.

The annual event is a great way to learn how to make your yard a beautiful and healthy place for pets and children while protecting waterways and wildlife. Methods include:

  • Using native plants
  • Conserving water with rain barrels
  • Attracting ladybugs and other beneficial insects
  • Designing alternatives to traditional lawns.

The tour also offers an opportunity to chat with local residents who have learned how to maintain yards without relying on fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.

“This is an incredible opportunity to see some amazing gardens and learn natural gardening techniques from like-minded gardeners,” said Sally Fisher, environmental outreach specialist.
