Vancouver, WA ̶ Acting County Manager Mark McCauley today presented his first annual report to the Board of County Councilors, fulfilling a requirement of the home rule charter that took effect Jan. 1, 2015. The report applauds the county workforce and highlights improvements in three realms: public safety; infrastructure; and financial stability. The 24-page report focuses on examples of how the county meets its obligations to be a good steward of taxpayer dollars and deliver quality service under local, state and federal laws. Future reports will feature other aspects of the county’s diverse operations, McCauley said. He was named acting county manager at the end of 2014 after serving as county administrator since September 2013. The full report on the county’s website at clark.wa.gov.
