Portland International Airport (PDX) Community Advisory Committee vacancy

Clark County is seeking a neighborhood representative from the Camas-Washougal area to serve on the Portland International Airport Community Advisory Committee (PDX CAC). Applicants can live in Camas or Washougal or in the nearby unincorporated area. The Port of Portland, city of Portland and city of Vancouver created the diverse, regional advisory committee from a recommendation of the Airport Futures Plan District and PDX Master Plan. The mission of the volunteer advisory committee is to: • Support meaningful and collaborative public dialogue and engagement on airport-related planning and development • Provide community input to decision-making processes about the airport, city of Portland and other jurisdictions and organizations in the region • Increase public knowledge about the airport and impacted communities. A key focus of the committee is to work toward assuring that PDX and the Airport Plan District is the most sustainable in the world, recognizing the long-term, critical interconnection among economic development, environmental stewardship and social responsibility. The PDX Community Advisory Committee meets quarterly in the eighth-floor Chinook conference room at the Port of Portland Headquarters at PDX, 7200 N.E. Airport Way, Portland, Ore.
