Legal Financial Obligations

  • If you are delinquent or cannot pay your infraction by the due date, the Court may grant either more time to pay or can set Community Restitution as an option, at a set rate to be applied to qualifying Infraction amounts due the Court. You will first need to receive a print out from the Court of your case activity, then you will need to fill out the Legal Financial Obligations Petition (below) to ask the Court for those options. 
  • If you are delinquent or cannot pay your Criminal Legal Financial Obligation by the due date (note Infractions rules are different, see above), you can make a motion to the Court to: ask to have charges removed from collections, for more time to pay, converted to Community Restitution, or ask to have some or all of your legal financial obligations waived. You will first need to receive a print out from the Court of your case activity, then you will need to fill out the Legal Financial Obligations Petition (below).
