County seeks volunteer for key appointment on Health Council

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is seeking to fill a vacancy on the Clark County Public Health Advisory Council with a representative from a local social or human services agency.
The council is a link between the Board of County Commissioners in their capacity as the Board of Health and the community, and provides a local focus on public health. The council identifies community health needs, sets priorities and makes recommendations to enhance health of the community. Access to care, health inequalities, obesity, a sustainable food system, and support for healthy children are among the council’s priorities.
The council meets 6-8 p.m. on the third Tuesday each month at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.
