Turn one in, take one at Happy Hallo-Green costume exchange Oct. 12
Vancouver, WA – Tired of wearing that same vampire costume every Oct. 31? Do your children want to be something other than a witch or devil on Halloween?
Come to the Happy Hallo-Green costume exchange Saturday, Oct. 12, drop off last year’s outfit and leave with something different. Recycling a Halloween costume is a fun, thrifty way to spruce up for the holiday and put a perfectly good item back to work.
Clark County residents can exchange their clean, gently used Halloween costumes at the Vancouver Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The market is at Sixth and Esther streets just west of Esther Short Park.
Environmental Service’ Green Neighbors Program is sponsoring the event as part of National Costume Swap Day.
The event also will include assorted Hallo-Green tips, such as sustainable treat options, party ideas and do-it-yourself decorations and crafts.
Otherwise, get a coupon for Saturday when dropping off a costume Thursday, Oct. 10, at Shorty’s Garden & Home locations at 10006 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. and 705 N.E. 199th St., Ridgefield, as well as Torque Coffee, 501 Columbia St.
