Clark County has a three member Board of County Councilors that will increase to five members Jan. 1, 2016. The board provides policy direction to department under its jurisdiction and has budget authority.
The acting county manager has executive authority to direct the day-to-day operations of the county and employees.
Other elected offices are Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney, Treasurer, Sheriff and Superior and District Court judges. Each elected official manages his or her department.
