Welcome! The Community Planning Department guides community growth and development in a manner that protects environmental resources, enhances quality of life and involves citizens in the decisions that affect them in collaboration with the county's cites, towns and tribe. Planning oversees the amendment process for the Comprehensive Plan and Clark County Code consistent with the requirements of the state's Growth Management Act and other state laws while providing staff support to several commission and councils.

Public meeting schedule changes due to COVID-19
In keeping with the social distancing protocols in place to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Community Planning is suspending in-person meetings. This decision was made in consideration of the health of customers, employees and the community.
Please check the commission/board's meeting page for information regarding the status of any scheduled upcoming meetings. Some boards, like the Buildable Lands Project Advisory Committee are working on alternate ways to meet, such as virtual meetings. That information will be posted on the meeting page for that group.
