Precinct Boundary Changes

Body

On March 30, the Clark County Elections Office will mail new voter registration cards to approximately 4,800 voters.  State law requires that a new card be mailed to each voter whose precinct information has changed.

A revision to state law was made in 2011 that reduced the size of voting precincts to less than 1,500 registered voters. As a result, the boundaries of a number of precincts in Clark County were adjusted. Some precincts were split into new precincts, while other precincts had a portion moved to an adjoining precinct. State law was also changed to require that voting precincts must be either completely inside or completely outside of a city. As a result of the revisions made to the law, six new precincts were created in Clark County and 17 existing precinct boundary lines were adjusted.

Voters with questions about precinct changes may contact the Clark County Elections Office by calling (360) 397-2345 or by emailing elections@clark.wa.gov.
