Clark County Law Library selling new default judgment self-help kit

The Clark County Law Library recently expanded its self-help kit collection with one tailored to default judgment in a civil lawsuit in Superior Court. The purpose of the kit is to ask for a default judgment when there is one defendant and they have not responded to the lawsuit, and less than one year has passed since service of the summons and complaint. It allows someone, after they’ve won a case, to get a court judgment for the amount of money they were requesting.

The price of the kit is $15 cash in person, $17 card in person, and $27 online, which includes shipping and handling.

As with other kits offered by the Law Library, the default judgment kit includes forms and instructions.

The Law Library has an extensive collection of legal self-help kits. More information about the kits can be found on the Law Library website at https://clark.wa.gov/law-library/self-help-form-kits.
