Weather postpones State of the County, means late start Wednesday, cancels meetings

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County offices will open two hours late Wednesday, Feb. 21, and the State of the County event that afternoon has been postponed because inclement weather threatens to pose driving hardships and hazards.

County offices, including Superior Court and District Court, will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Any updates will be available on the county website home page at www.clark.wa.gov/. Click on the weather-related banner at the top of the page for details.

The annual State of the County event, which was scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the Event Center at the Clark County Fairgrounds, will be postponed, likely until late March.

Clark County also is canceling the:

  • Commission on Aging meeting scheduled for 4:40 p.m. today. The meeting has been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the sixth-floor Hearing Room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
  • Clark County Council’s 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, Work Session on indigent defense.
