Lowe is a senior budget policy analyst in the county budget office. She began working at the county in March. Previously, she was the principal financial analyst for the city of Portland’s central budget office. Before working for Portland, Lowe served as central budget office operations manager and Information Technology budget manager at the Washington State Employment Security Department. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in sociology from Western Washington University. “Sara has strong analytical skills and 10 years of local, state and federal government experience,” said Lasher. “We are fortunate to hire someone with expertise in managing multi-million dollar budgets, supervising staff, handling budget and contract negotiations, and presenting complex financial data and programs.” “I’m excited about the challenges of being the deputy treasurer and honored to serve the citizens of Clark County,” said Lowe. “I look forward to establishing relationships with staff and customers.”
