County work session set Aug. 30 for an overview of the vacant buildable lands model

The Clark County Council will hold a work session Wednesday, Aug. 30 for an overview of the vacant buildable lands model as part of the process of updating the county’s Comprehensive Plan.

Councilors will meet with GIS staff and planning staff from 9 a.m. to noon on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Topics will include an explanation of the vacant buildable lands model, what it does, how it works, and what’s new with the model.

The work session is open to the public, however there will be no public comment as part of the event.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format. Attendees can join in person in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., or virtually via Webex.
