Vancouver, WA – Clark County planners will meet with the Board of County Commissioners in a work session at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 to discuss the potential scope of an environmental analysis on alternatives for updating the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan. The work session will be open to the public on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. The county is considering options that include: • No change from the current plan adopted in 2007. • Changing some land uses currently planned in existing urban growth areas. • Expanding urban growth areas around Battle Ground, La Center and Ridgefield at the request of city officials. Staff will report on public input received at four open houses held in August. Previously, the Board directed staff to plan for an additional 132,000 people and 91,200 jobs by 2035. The upcoming analysis will supplement an environmental impact statement used to update the growth plan in 2007.
