Vancouver, Wash. – The 2020 Clark County Farm Advisory Committee will meet 9-11 am Friday, Feb. 28, in the sixth-floor training room in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
The meeting is open to the public.
The committee serves as an advisory group to the Assessor in implementing assessment guidelines as established by the department for open space, farm and agricultural, and timber land classified under the provisions of Chapter 84.34 RCW and WAC 458-30-345.
Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County Public Health is seeking nominations for the annual Public Health Community Award. The award recognizes both an individual and an organization in Clark County for outstanding contributions to promoting and protecting community health.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Council is seeking nominations and applications to fill a vacant position on the three-member board that oversees Drainage Improvement District No. 5.
This position is for an unexpired term that ends in February 2022. The position will then be put on the special district general election ballot for a four-year, unexpired term.
Vancouver, Wash. – Beginning at 8:30 am Wednesday, Feb. 12, elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 ballots randomly selected as part of a manual comparison against machine results.
The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on Election Day. But for this comparison, ballots with the Vancouver Public Schools proposition also will be counted by hand, to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment.

Vancouver, Wash. – The Clark County Council has appointed Salmon Creek resident Bryant Enge to the Clark County Planning Commission for a six-year term that begins immediately and ends Dec. 31, 2026.
Enge is a real estate broker and has more than 27 years of experience in public service including serving as assistant city manager for the city of Federal Way, Wash. He earned a bachelor’s in accounting and mathematics at Oregon State University and an MBA at the University of Oregon.
Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County councilors today unveiled new watershed signs that were chosen by county residents last year as part of a Stormwater Partners of Southwest Washington project. The event was held at Klineline Pond at Salmon Creek Regional Park where the first new watershed sign was installed. The new signs, which are located where named streams cross roads, will replace existing signs that were installed in the mid-1990s.
Vancouver, Wash. – The county manager is seeking five applicants to fill vacancies on the Clark County Development and Engineering Advisory Board, DEAB. The positions are open to professionals associated with private and public-sector professional engineering, planning, the Building Industry Association and at-large development work.
The positions have three-year terms that begin April 1, 2020 and ends March 31, 2023.
