Body

Clark County Public Works, Parks and Lands division, is convening an advisory group comprised of local residents to review the cleanup actions at Camp Bonneville. The first meeting of the Camp Bonneville Advisory Group (CAG) is Aug. 30.

The CAG will review the cleanup objectives and findings of no further action on individual cleanup projects at the site. The group will have an opportunity to provide input on the sitewide cleanup action plan, once completed by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology). The committee will review the plan, sharing diverse resident perspectives. County staff will share the committee’s feedback and recommendations with the county council.

The CAG is made up of seven county residents who were selected for participation through an application and interview process. Their appointments were reviewed and approved by the Clark County Council. The CAG will meet six times over the course of the next 12 months. Meetings will be held in a hybrid in-person/virtual format, with meeting dates and times announced at least two weeks in advance. A brief public comment portion of each meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to provide comments or ask questions about agenda items only. Public comments will be limited to three minutes each. Meeting agendas and minutes will be posted at clark.wa.gov/public-works/camp-bonneville#cag.
