Surplus Property Sales
In the course of purchasing land for road, parks and other construction project, the county can end up with parcels or remnants of parcels that are not needed for public purposes.
If the Board of County Councilors concludes the county is not likely to need the property, the board may authorize the disposition of the property. Typically, the property either is:
- Appraised and sold at fair market value.
- Sold at public auction.
Sealed bid auction of surplus property - October 2018
Clark County, in accordance with RCW 47.12.283, will sell by a sealed bid auction the following property:
Tax Parcel No. 185578-000, 608 NE 139th St., Vancouver, WA 98685. Approximately 9,107 square feet of vacant land zoned residential (R-18). Minimum bid is $130,000, and the property will be sold "as is." The county has the right to postpone or cancel the sale or to reject any and all bids.
Sealed bids must be postmarked no later than Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, or hand delivered no later than 4 pm Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. More information is available in the bid packet posted below.
