Vancouver, Wash. – With the support of a Clark County Parks Foundation grant, a new Spin-Max Tower from Allplay Systems was installed at Vancouver Lake Regional Park in August. The equipment, which replaced deteriorating equipment at the popular park, was purchased in May.

Vancouver Lake Regional Park is a popular destination for many people in the Portland-Vancouver Metro area. More than 22,000 vehicles entered the park in 2018, utilizing the playground equipment and facilities. Over time, several pieces of the play equipment deteriorated and were removed for safety. As a result, there were fewer opportunities for children to play at the 190 acre park that stretches for 2.5 miles along the western shore of Vancouver Lake.

The new playground equipment has quickly gained popularity among park-goers. “This new equipment was sorely needed for this popular regional park,” said Interim Parks and Lands Division Manager Kevin Tyler. “We are very thankful for the funding support from the Parks Foundation. With their support, we were able to provide more opportunities for children and their families to get outside and connect with the incredible natural assets we have here in Clark County.”
