Work will temporarily restrict some traffic movement as contractor transitions to new phase

Vancouver, WA – Beginning Monday, April 25, temporary restrictions will affect traffic flow at the intersection of Northeast 94th Street and Padden Parkway.

Last fall, Tapani Inc., a Battle Ground-based contractor working for Clark County, started improving a 0.75-mile section of Northeast 94th Avenue between just south of Padden Parkway and Northeast 99th Street.

The project includes building acceleration lanes on Padden Parkway to improve safety by giving vehicles entering from Northeast 94th Avenue room to speed up before merging. Deceleration lanes are being added or improved on Padden Parkway to provide room for vehicles to slow down before turning right onto Northeast 94th Avenue.

The upcoming work will be done in the middle of Northeast 94th Avenue immediately south of Padden Parkway and require these traffic restrictions for about one week:

Vehicles northbound on Northeast 94th Avenue, just south of Padden Parkway, will be required to turn east on Padden Parkway. They will not be able to turn west on Padden Parkway or continue through the intersection.

Vehicles southbound on Northeast 94th Avenue, north of Padden Parkway, will be required to turn east or west on Padden Parkway. They will not be able to continue through the intersection.
Vehicles westbound on Padden Parkway will not be able to turn south on Northeast 94th Avenue.

This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled because of rain.

Drivers can bypass the construction zone by using alternate routes, such as Northeast 88th Street and Northeast 76th Street to the north and south and Northeast 107th Avenue and Northeast Andresen Road to the east and west.
