Hours reduced at Tower Mall COVID-19 vaccination site due to extreme heat

The COVID-19 vaccination site at Tower Mall will close early on Saturday, June 26 and Monday, June 28 due to predicted temperatures above 100 degrees. The site is closed on Sundays.

The vaccination site will be open normal hours on Friday, June 25 and Tuesday, June 29. The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce will distribute $50 gift cards to people who are vaccinated at the site on Friday. And Tuesday is the final day of vaccination operations at Tower Mall.

Here is the schedule for the remaining days at the Tower Mall COVID-19 vaccination site:

  • Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed 12-1)
  • Saturday: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
  • Monday: 8:30 am to noon
  • Tuesday: 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (closed 12-1)

The Tower Mall vaccination site, 5403 E. Mill Plain Blvd., offers drive-thru and walk-up options and is accessible by C-Tran bus route 37. Appointments can be scheduled on the Safeway/Albertsons website but are not required.

Pfizer vaccine is administered at the Tower Mall site. Those who receive a first dose at Tower Mall can go to a local Safeway or Albertsons pharmacy, or another local pharmacy or medical office offering Pfizer vaccine, to receive a second dose in three weeks. Safeway and Albertsons pharmacies are now offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations.
