Vancouver, Wash. – Vancouver’s Downtown Association presented Clark County’s Recycled Arts Festival with a 2018 Game Changer Award during its annual meeting last week. The Recycled Arts Festival was named People’s Choice for Favorite Event.

The association’s annual awards honor local “people and businesses who bring their special vision to our downtown and make good things happen,” according to the association website. Award winners were announced at an event Feb. 14 at Hilton Vancouver Washington.

The Recycled Arts Festival will celebrate 14 years in downtown Vancouver at this year’s event June 29-30 at Esther Short Park. The event will host more than 150 artists who create handcrafted items using at least 75 percent recycled or reused materials. A number of local musicians will provide entertainment, and food vendors will offer a variety of meal options throughout the event. Last year, nearly 40,000 guests came out to join in the fun!

The Recycled Arts Festival is hosted by Clark County Public Health’s Green Neighbors program. For more information about the event, visit the Recycled Arts Festival website. To receive the latest Clark County eco-friendly information, sign up for the Green Neighbors newsletter
